We are starting to collect box tops. They are an easy money maker for the school, so if you have any on the groceries that you purchase, please send them in.
Tomorrow, Wednesday September 24, 2014 is PICTURE DAY!!!
Please make sure you send in your order forms with your child tomorrow!! We visited the Herring Run today. We learned what Herring is and why they "run". We walked up to the pond to see where the herring spawn and we checked out the Grist Mill of course. Pictures are posted under "pictures". :)
We just wrapped up our Ocean and Pond life comparisons in science. There was a nice combination of excitement and boredom on our field trip excursions. LOL. We hung up our "what lives in a shell" stories in the hallway and we hope that you stop by and take a look.
Mrs.Taylor I hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous Fall weekend! A quick reminder that this Monday is all school morning meeting. There will be some music, plus our class will be presenting a group recycle project that we just did. If you can make it, stop by. It starts at 9:15 am
Thanks Mrs. Taylor Hi All,
I need two things emailed to me. First, if you could send me the emergency phone numbers (in order of who I should call first) in case of an emergency that would be great. I'm sure you filled it out on your registration forms but I like to keep them on my desk in case the office is locked. Also, we will be starting a geography unit that will include the students learning their address and phone number. So, if you could email me your address and the specific phone number you want them to learn, that would be terrific. Thanks! Mrs. Taylor We're having a great day today. Just a few things... Please go to the homework page to read an important message that I posted. Also, don't forget that tonight is Open House at 5:00 pm. The first 30 minutes will be Dr. Jeff speaking in the big room. After that, you are welcome to drop by the classroom to check out the textbooks that the students will be using this year and to ask me any questions you might have regarding curriculum.
Mrs. Taylor We had an awesome field trip today! We explored Paines Creek Beach in Brewster where we collected shells and discovered many different animals that live in shells. Tomorrow we will be graphing and sorting what we discovered. Later in the week we will be writing stories about what we saw.
